male NG over eagle nest

31 March  3:30 P.M. Below Saint Mary's Church-Anacortes
Looking toward the eagle nest, in full silhouette was a male goshawk. The hawk appeared to be black and was ripping through at such speed that it appeared to be a Merlin. Bright sun, as the hawk circled over and over again at about 600 feet from my position. The size, shape, structure, wing beats, and wing holding, suggested male goshawk. Observation time about 1 minute.
